Abstract

In the industrial processes of production in diferent sectors of production such as paper, cement, water, oil, steel, electricity, etc. Is necessary to carry out the control of processes on a continuous and remote basis. Currently the requirements for supervision and control of some of these processes of production in Mexico, are covered by companies such as Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, etc. These are just some of the companies that provide distributed control systems to meet the needs of supervision and control in the different sectors of production in Mexico; that national technological options that can meet these needs are required the day of today.

This thesis presents a system for monitoring and controlling, and has implemented control algorithms with fuzzy logic as well as classic control techniques. The control system is composed by a computer server that is responsible for monitoring continuously what happens in the process(es) that are running on the client, being the server the system control center.

The communication between the server and clients is done by the TCP/IP protocol, each client is simulating a process, and the server requests data to clients, this information is processed and it also modifies the control of parameters that the clients are running. In this way you have a monitoring and control system that uses a client server TCP/IP architecture to communicate various nodes with the control center.

A simulated two tanks level process that are interconected, and are developing a Mamdani controller type with two inputs and one output to control the tank level 2 by regulating the ow in the entry of the tank 1, was simulated the system response for membership functions to triangular and membership functions of Gaussian type, it compares the responses of both controllers and are integrated into a client server

system that comunicates with the TCP/IP protocol, where the server requests and sends out information on a continuous basis to each of the clients, and also is able to control the parameters of the process by sending information to each client whose values must have in the process.
