Abstract

There are several problems and drawbacks when the crop is done through irrigation, with water shortages the most serious problems. Common irrigation systems do not consider irrigation in excess of crop fields as a high priority problem. Despite of the current proposals and projects that plan to use excess water, there is not a control system for large tracts of land, which determine the amount of water needed by farmlands and also becomes affordable for common farmers.

These records, driving in this work to develop a computer system for classifying irrigation demands based on estimates of soil moisture, historical and expected weather conditions, crop types and soil.
